To clarify any confusion in the market place resulting from a recently published article, AMERCO (Nasdaq: UHAL) said that on Thursday, May 13, 2004, the United States Bankruptcy Court in Reno Nevada ruled that it has jurisdiction over potential claims filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and that as of April 21, 2004, the company had complied with the SEC’s Administrative Subpoenas, having produced over 1.4 million documents, including e-mails.

The company is pleased with the Court’s findings and will continue to cooperate fully with the SEC fact-finding inquiry.
